ABOUT US
Mission
The Fund is seeking to implement social innovations
in the field of international cooperation, protection of the human
rights, social welfare and security, work and education, non-formal and
civic education, health care, minorities integration, culture,
preservation of ethnic and religious heritage, educational and
vocational training, sports, art, environmental protection, and other
fields of the public interests and societal gain.
Motto:" Better a job than the dole "
Goals
Take an active part in public life; shaping public
policies, promote public awareness by supporting law initiative.
Seek adoption of equal rights and opportunities;
draw close attention to a factual participation of women in
different fields of life (politics, public administration, career,
etc.).
Take an active part in shaping social policies,
provide social services, and provide a vast variety of them by
creating innovative ways of providing social services.
Organize adult education by improving and adopting
better and more efficient programs pf learning oriented towards
socially disadvantaged, orphaned children and young people, large
families, and families with lower income, unemployed.
Promote non-formal adult education with a purpose
to help self-education, cultural interests, to develop creative
powers and abilities.
Employ people who have lost their professional
abilities, became economically inactive, lost equal opportunity to
compete on a labor market, improve their social status, by so
bridging the existing social gap.
Seek implementation of the Law of Social
Enterprises by employing members of the target groups described by
the Law of Social Enterprises.
Promote the idea of life long learning and
education.
Strengthen the activities of non-governmental
organizations and improve their status and image.
Participate in lobbying activities by the order so
describes in the law.
Provide help and consultations to the victims of
violence.
Participate in international activities and
cooperation. Establish contacts with international organizations and
funds with the purpose of promoting activities that benefit the
public.
Organize common activities with organizations of
similar profile.
Train and involve volunteers into activities of the
Fund.
Involve sponsors and other donors into the activity
of the Fund by promoting the idea of philanthropy.

The Social Innovation Fund is located in the center of the city at the
address Savanoriu 1.
The Social Innovation Fund (SIF) is an NGO which was established in
1994 with the support of the Dutch Government program, "Assistance in
Social Welfare in Lithuania". The SIF is a public charity organization.
